Media Fellowship International reaches out to media and entertainment professionals for Christ. Their website states that their mission is to, "reach media and entertainment professionals worldwide for Christ." Their vision: "MFI ministers among media and entertainment professionals in key arts and media cities worldwide who are seeking a safe spiritual haven, transforming them into Christian leaders who serve, challenge and influence." Their goals: "MFI's goal is to: encourage, equip and energize individuals to live for Christ. Expand the international network of Christians in the media. Encourage interpersonal relationships where Christians can learn how to incorporate their faith into the workplace. Provide information, education and training to improve professional competencies based on Biblical principles. Provide a platform from which Christians in the media may communicate their faith."

The Newhouse Graduate Fellowship and Apprenticeship in Newspaper Journalism for Minorities
at Syracuse University located in Syracuse, New York offers an extensive career building program to help minority students gain an edge in the world of journalism. This year's February 1 deadline has passed.

According to their website they are "seeking students with outstanding qualifications and the potential to make significant contributions to the field of newspaper journalism. It also seeks to increase the number of minority journalists in the country. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen and member of an under-represented group: African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American or Asian, have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in a field other than journalism, have and undergraduate GPA of B or better. The winner gets free tuition for master’s level study in newspaper journalism at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Also, he will receive part-time reporting and editing student internships during graduate school, $1,100 monthly stipend, health insurance coverage, moving expenses, travel expenses, academic expenses and a full-time paid professional internship after graduation for one year as a reporter at the Newhouse Paper."
