MediaBistro.com is one of my favorite and most reliable media industry sources for information about internships, jobs and the latest new in the industry. For years now I have been reading about different industry happenings and learning about the luminaries that make the industry what it is. With each visit to MediaBistro.com I get a greater sense of what different career fields in the media are really like.
Some of my favorite free features of the website include:
- Internship and job search by location, industry, keyword, duration or featured employer
- The bulletin board to post questions and hopefully get answers
- Build a resume and post it, in order to send links of your online resume to employers
- Event and service listings (a bit pricey for college students, but well worth it for those in the industry full-time)
- Their blogs (the Fish Bowl is good, it gives a lot of industry news)
