The National Press Photographers Association, Region 2 website reported that Judson Memorial Church is having a "New New Yorker Photo Competition." The association's website says, " Judson Memorial Church invites all photographers, amateur and professional, to participate in a competition that captures the modern immigrant experience in the New York City area. Subject matter should feature scenes relating to the everyday lives of individuals who have recently relocated to New York from another country. The competition is designed to create a greater awareness and appreciation of the experiences, challenges, and opportunities facing New York's new residents. Contest is open to professional and amateur photographers using any photo equipment. Employees and members of Judson Memorial Church are not eligible. Entries must be received by March 15, 2009."
